I try to work with an assistant when I have newborn sessions so that my parents can just relax and have a break BUT we needed to reschedule our session so I did not have an assistant on hand. However! Dad stepped in as my assistant and he did so well! I work with an assistant a lot of the time for a break but also because sometime mom and dad can be really nervous around posing newborns because they are not used to it. BUT dad stepped in and was an absolute champ. By the end of the session, he was moving with me and pretty much knew what I needed and was looking for before I even asked him to grab it.

So, what does a full session look like? Something close to the above :) We also attempt naked, wrapped and family for the full session and siblings if there are any big sibs.
