You’re a newborn photographer … why weddings?

When my husband and I got married we had a super small wedding in a chapel and did not hire a photographer. I wish we would’ve. If there is one thing looking back I wish we would’ve had, that is the one thing! We then did a vow renewal in 2022 and with that WE DID hire a photographer because I really wanted to make sure all the moments and memories were captured. So I KNOW what it is like to feel like you’re missing something when you don’t hire a photographer and the regret that comes with.

I want to be able to be there for you from the time you start getting ready to leaving your reception and all the moments and memories in between. This is such a BIG day and with all the adrenaline and all the things you have to do and remember, having a photographer you feel comfortable with + is going to capture all your moments is so important. Thats why once you fill out the contact form, I want to schedule a phone consult or a FaceTime/Zoom meeting to get an idea of who you are, what’s important to you and what you are expecting from me for your big day!

Hiring a photographer should also be about the experience you get from them when you hire them. I want to make this day as easy for you as possible and that includes trying to keep you on schedule and making sure we have enough time to capture formal bridal portraits and family portraits immediately following your ceremony. You might not think you want formal family portraits or even getting ready portraits, but 5 years down the road and when your grandparents and parents start getting a little older, you’re going to be thankful! And bridal portraits are so much fun once we get the formal family out of the way! We can even head to a different location nearby if we have time to capture those!

What else? Most of my packages include an engagement session with the option to add on a boudoir/self love session and the engagement session can take place at my studio, at an indoor location of your choosing in the Metro Detroit area or outside in the Metro Detroit Area. Any additional permits or rental fee would be paid for by the couple.

I do also offer a wide variety of products that can be added on to any package (an album from your engagement session is a hot seller to use as a guest book for your wedding). You also can add on a second shooter - which I recommend if you have a large bridal party or you want the whole day captured, just to keep everything on schedule. I also travel so if you love my work and my editing style and are eloping out of town and want me to tag along, I would LOVE to come along!
